Experience of Riding in a Tesla Robotaxi Ahead of Houston Launch
Tesla is set to expand its robotaxi service to Houston and Dallas, prompting an exploration of the rider experience in its self-driving vehicles. A recent test ride from South Austin to downtown demonstrated the vehicle's adherence to traffic rules, including using turn signals and stopping at red lights, despite ongoing investigations into its technology. The ride, covering approximately four miles, cost $5.29 and was completed without incident. While the robotaxi offers a unique experience, it may not significantly outperform public transit options like city buses in terms of convenience and cost, particularly in downtown areas. Riders should also be aware that safety operators are present in the vehicle as a precaution, although plans are in place to remove them soon. As Tesla prepares for broader deployment, it faces competition from other autonomous services like Waymo, which has gained traction in Austin. Despite some safety concerns surrounding both services, Tesla's robotaxi app is now available for download in multiple countries, indicating the company's ambition to expand its autonomous transportation network globally.Tesla Dallas Concert reviews
Pretty alright
One of the things that really bugged me was that even though I had bought a ticket weeks before the show I had to get in a line to get a bracelet, then get into another line that actually led into the event. A friend of mine didn't have a ticket, bought one while we were there, and was like 100 people ahead of me in line because of it, it was like being punished for planning ahead.
The speakers were a little bit worn, both the lead singers had this high screech when they sang that definitely wasn't just age showing.
Even though it was a non-smoking venue the girls I'm front of of me were constantly vaping and smoking. It was super gross.
Overall though it was a pretty good show. I was able to get really close to the stage there were plenty of food and drink, and it was just overall high energy.
